I have an 01 TL with 75k miles. Great car, love it. BUT it has a horrible transmission history. I've replaced mine twice in 25,000 miles, don't know how many times the previous owner might have had it fixed. Fortunately the powertrain is still under warranty and will be through next September - so any trans problem will be fixed free.So here's the question - would you start looking for a car next summer? I love this car, love the way it feels, handles, accelerates, looks...everything. Oh, and its paid for and has been for sometime. A new car would either mean a monthly payment or a big withdrawl from my bank account - like most people I don't like to part with my money. But I also don't want to be hitchhiking to work, either.I should probably add that all TLs between 00-03 have this horrible transmission history - Acura is accutely aware of it, too. But yeah, I guess you could say its a lemon - they all are.

Trade it. A new car would be a better investment of your money instead of you throwing it away (starting next Sept.) to your current one. It sounds like you have a lemon that is rotten, so throw it away. I would start researching cars, but new cars come out at different quarters. Keep in mind many new models come out late August.

trade it in for a 2008 honda accord..that car is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the coupe looks even better!!!!! go get one now! lol

well i think you should keep it unless ur car really starts to break downthis is what happened to my parentsthey really loved their nissan maxima and used it until it really broke down and go a new 2007 camry v6

I would get rid of it now, the sooner you get rid of it, the less time you will be in a rental car...
