What are the best tires for a 2004 ford explorer?
The Widetrack SR is not a Bridgestone tire, it is a private label brand owned by Bridgestone but without any of Bridgestone's advanced technology. It is a cheap, low end, entry level tire. If you like your Michelin's you will be disappointed by the Widetrack's. If the vehicle is used only on paved roads consider the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza. It is the most sophisticated SUV tire on the market. Super smooth quite ride, great traction and long wear. A much more advanced tire than the Michelin Cross Terrain. If you live where it snows you might consider the Goodyear Fortera Tripletread which is the only SUV tire other than the Nokian WR to have a Severe Winter service label on the sidewall. The directional tread pattern makes cross-rotating the tires impossible though and Explorers are notorious for inducing uneven wear of not rotated regularly. In the medium price range the Firestone Destination LE is a tough tire to beat. I can't think of any that can beat it for the price actually. The real Mark F
