Default More information on "look a like car" (shared design concept)?

Calling all car and motorcycle enthusiast, could you give more information on my little problem. Because I've been fooled many times on the road while driving, that the vehicles pass to me is something named as a mistaken identity...

For example the red rally car that I so overtaking me is not a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X but his younger brother the Mitsubishi Lancer

On traffic situation motorcycles have the advantage to reroute on narrow roads. One time a sport bike passes me as it enters that narrow road and knowing that sport bike is a Yamaha R1 but it is not an R1 instead it is a Yamaha R15

And on the express way I so a speeding car knowing that is a super car due to its showcased mid engine. But when I researched that car, its engine is same as our car that we used to have. The Lotus Evora is not a super car but a sports car on its technical side. Super cars usually have a massive big engines but this one is not big enough to compete these super cars

Can you give more information similar to this examples happened to me while driving. And up until now I still research to this “look a like cars” having a somewhat called shared designs.

And I have found 2 more cars having this shared design on their websites:

1. BMW x6M – This car looks like a sports car but it isn’t... It’s an SUV having a soul of an sports car

2.Subaru Impreza WRX STI – This car have a younger strip down version the Impreza... similar to the case of the Lancer Evo X... They look similar but its technical side is different...

Thank you for answering this question!
