OK ifa225, hybrid in this case means the combination of two (2) different elements in a part. As we talk about hybrid car, merely on machines supplied under the hood. First half is motor mechanism another half is normal engine. Where their operating systems programed switching from one to another and it cannot works simultaneously. At low programed speed, motor mechanism will do the job(save fuel as the engine dies) and when you need extra power the mighty engine will take place working happily for you. You jerked the accelerator paddle, the engine vvvrrroooooommmmmsss for you, especially on doing overtaking or while running up the hill area. Which means, end users have to shoulder both costs for this type of car; motor & engine. I hope my simple explanation/output/insight able to discern you for why hybrid car more expensive. Thanks for providing this good discussion, ifa225.

Smile Basically

So a hybrid basically runs on gas but also uses electricity, instead of the regular cars which just use plain gas. Because there is a bigger battery for the hybrid, the cost is going to be more. But think about it this way, not only are you saving the environment, you're also going to save money on gas because your gas tank won't deplete as quickly due to the use of electricity. (Electricity from the battery is used more in city driving, like starting and stopping, while gas is used more on freeways.) Hope this helps!

A hybrid car can be expensive also. Most cars are hybrid but from motorcyles, Most hybrid motorcycles are near to accidents. Making a hybri car is easy and much more efficient as long as it all fits.

Hybrid car are expensive because the cost on its production are expensive. It is a new technology on car too and it will just be later that it will become cheap because of many production of it.

So it's better if it's a car not motorcycle. Safety should be on the first list.
