Yup - go to Radio Shack. Better hope she doesn't find out, she will hate your guts for a long long time!

Riiight... And this is something you feel you have the right to do, is it?All those perverts out there, stalking people, following them, watching their every move...

Ask her where she is going, thats the cheapest. Or....don't ask her where she is going just tell her to drive safely, give her a little privacy and she will respect you for it.

Trust is the only answer.Did you raise her well, did you teach her right from wrong? And if its still an issue, a flat tire makes it hard to go anywhere...

Dude, u got sum trust issues dont u.Boy she must have done sumfing BAAAD to make u wanna track every step she takes.Take a hint.Tell her u trust her and DONT track her car.Let her use a mobile phone to call u if anything goes wrong.Besides, news travels fast if u r worried bout car crashes.U tell her u trust her and she is sure to act well and stay safe.(that is NOT a certainty but is the most probable outcome. So if she gets hurt, dont blame me, just be glad she wouldnt have caused it herself like she owuld if she thought u didnt trust her.)

Ummm, you never know when things will blow up in your face.....I don't think you should do this at all. Just because you're doing something that she may never know about doesn't mean that it's right. Your daughter is SEVENTEEN years old. In less than a year, she will be making her own decisions. If she is going to go out and do something, it's not going to change much by the time she's 18. If you don't trust her and want to keep tabs on her, then do it in a way that she knows about. And if you tell her about this little gps idea, she's gonna be mad. It's not even very good anyways, not like she can't ditch the car and go with someone else......why not attach them to the clothes she's wearing instead?? I'd say that especially being 17 yrs old, she needs some kind of privacy and this is WAY overstepping the boundaries. If you give her no room to make mistakes on her own, she will resent you later, and a lot of lifes lessons have to be made on your own. Let her make a few. Just because she's your daughter doesn't mean that you can treat and do with her what you want. And just because it's legal doesn't mean it's right.

Your wife has taught her well hasn't she Dan? To track the girl you can use a gps system. I would hide it in the trunk underneath the spare disguised as a tool, or something that belongs in the car's trunk. Tacking it underneath would lend it to loss. Too easy to fall off.It sounds like you are having trouble with a rebellious teenager, I do hope it works out for the both of you. Because when the father has to track his daughter to that extent, then the child is in real trouble when she hits adulthood.I hope things will be resolved between father and daughter, I hope all goes well in the end. Best wishes to you.
