I'm very seriously considering buying a used Land Rover (LR3). Never owned one and don't know anyone who does, but the general response I get is that they are unreliable and super expensive to fix. Also impossible to find a shop to even get repairs done. All I know is that they are cool looking and very luxurious. Would you please share your real life experience with LRs? Thanks

Consumer reports and others rate them at the bottom of all SUV's for reliability and expense to repair. If you want a good reliable used SUV buy a Toyota land cruser.

Well if in good condition they have the most supple 4WD Drive system in the world but they are a little to pricey, owned by Ford Motor Company They Bought The company and the new ones are really good if the one your going to buy has all the maintenance records and a the regular scheduled maintenance was performed , most of these vehicle never see off road so they are usually in good shape have a trust Worthy mechanic check it out before you buy tho,
