Ok i just turned 18 and i got 60k saved up it's always been my dream to own a lamborghini gallardo 2004!?.... should i go for it its only 108,000 i can negotiate maybe they can let it go for 100k!. I will be going into the Navy i will be a Navy seal plus they will also give me a nother 40k as bonus!. What do you guys think?

Sit on the cash and buy a motorcycle. First of all, you're in the navy and won't have terribly much time to drive. Second, you'll probably wrap the car around a telephone pole. If you spill a bike your only out a few grand and you still get the balls-to-the-wall speed.

insurance will kill you..What do you want from the car? the Luxury factor? or sport factor? If you want sport...You should buy any car that will fit a V8 in it for 5 grand and have find a shop that will build you an engine built for top end and twin turbo it. With 10 grand in an engine you could be making 1000HP no joke. You will be faster then any Euro. But you cant beat a Lambo in luxury.

Not enough money.Don't forget the maintenance on the car is about $20,000 per year. And Insurance is probably around $8,000-10,000 per year depending where you live.And the Premium gas with bad gas mileage.You need to be someone who makes $100k per year to afford it.

No if you want a nice sporty luxary car buy a Jaguar XK,it's top speed is 155 mph thats fast enough, and pay it off then no car payment and save your other 40k for something that will actually make you money instead of loose it like a house.

Don't get it. You won't be able to afford the upkeep. Get something normal and wait and get one when you are older.

Am I the only one wondering how you saved up 60K???Anyways, if you are hell bent on getting a Lambo, check out insurance/repo auctions, sometimes these cars fall through the cracks and sell for way under 100K. If I were in your place, I'd hold on to the money, and buy a car when I got out of the navy, because when you get out, you'll need a place to live (rent, monthly payments), food (we all love to eat from time to time), and you may want a woman friend eventually (they cost too much, yet we often have them).
