Default PLEASE HELP finding an iPod adapter/ plug in/ aux cord for my car?

I have a Sony CDX-M1000TF headunit. One of the source options is "AUX." Is there a way to get AUX cords to plug straight into the deck instead of having to go through the radio and use a cigarette lighter? If so, what kind of cords do I need and how do I plug them in?

there probably is a way to do it but I bet it's in the back of the head unit if you don't have any ports or jacks in the front to connect to. i wanted to do the same thing with a kenwood head unit that i had but it ended up too complex so I just used the fm transmitter. Harmon Kardon makes the set up that has to be installed in your car to do just what you're talking about. Last time I saw it on sale - it was $119 plus installation
