My wife and I want to buy my daughter, Danielle a new car. She's a great student, she sometimes gets a B in history but other than that, she gets all A's and she's an honor roll student. She doesn't want a sweet 16 but I want to get her a car with my own money. I'm willing to spend $20,000. My wife and I want to surprise her. What is a good reliable car for a new driver?Remember, brand new.My 1st daughter drives a 2006 Toyota Corolla (brand new), my wife drives a Lexus RX Hybrid 2007 (brand new), and I drive a 2004 Nisaan Sentra.

If you want to use the 20k as a deposit go for a Jag or Bentley or Merc or Audi or BMW. I think you are telling fibs about the other cars, I think you drive Al Bundies old Dodge or a three wheeled kiddy cycle

All the cars that u have already have a good name, and they are a good brand. I believe all foreign cars r a good buy u just need to make sure u take care of it just like any car. But r u sure u want to buy her a brand new car, I mean she's only sixteen? Something new/used I think would be better. I know u want to get the best thing for ur daughter but things do happen and I wouldn't want to see u throw away $20,000. But if that's the route ur going ur best bet is Nissan, Toyota, Honda or Mitsubishi. U can't go wrong w/ any of these makes.Good Luck! P.S. I use to sell cars =)

I just bought a new 2008 Mitsubishi lancer that cost me about 20000. It looks nice and runs great. I recommend you going to your nearest costco if you have one and they offer this auto program that saves at least $2000 or more.
