Default I have a question on driving...?

I went to Defensive driving school because I got a speeding ticket. And they told me that when you are 16 you can only have 1 passenger. But when you are 17 you can have 3 and 18 it is as many as your car can fit. (This is not including family members) But my friend is just getting her license and she said that in her manual (and this is what I remember) it says that you have to be 18 until you can have more than 1 in your car besides family. Does anyone have an answer for this? And what is your understanding of this rule?

You might be able to have 3 others in the car with you, but 18 not a good idea. Depending on the states and laws the passenger or passengers have to wear belts. About the only way you can have 18 is if the vehicle is an suv.

I have to repeat what everyone else writes. Different states, different laws.

Question Which state do you live in?

It depends on the state. For example in Ohio you cannot have more than one passenger if you are 16. Still have a word with your state insurance board. They will be surely available on the net.

In Ohio you cannot have more than one passenger if you are 16. Check with the state insurance board as well. That's where the insurance people are registered.
