Default What are some tips to keep from having to scrape your car in the winter?

Was searching for prices on windshield covers and found this question. I'm not talking about the cover mentioned above for the inside of the car. This is something specifically designed for covering the glass on the windshield only, and is resistant to cold weather. Benefits:-easy install (open car doors, drape over car windshield, tuck in and close doors. Voila!)-just a matter of pulling off the cover to get the ice off. 30 seconds max per windshield, with little manual labour.-low cost (as seen online) from $10-20 each.Downsides:-havent seen one that covers side windows.-takes prep time at the end of the day.

Why not just start your car 10 minutes early, turn the heat on, and put it on "defrost" or whatever that little symbol is that shows the heat is blowing up onto the windows. Then you won't have to scrape at all
