Default Dealer asked me to return their car?

I have a friend who just "financed" a car from a hole in the wall dealership. She bought a Mazda 3 and totally got screwed over on the deal. Anyways, the dealership just called her back and told her that she needed to return the car because she didn't approve for the loan to finance the vehicle. Why didn't they make sure she approved first before? What should she do? Should she return the car?

I thought you wanted her to get out of the deal. If it's a bad deal, then everybody wins if she takes it back, right?

by law she has to return it,but it was up to them to make sure before they approved her,i know of several cases where they have did this before, and there should be some kind of a law that protects the buyer from having to go through this, but it still happens every day ,under law she will have to return it,tell her i wish her luck with this deal.

If she got a bad deal, then she should jump at the chance to return the car, and find a better deal elsewhere. With dealerships open on days the banks aren't, this is bound to happen occasionally.

Yes. She should return it, and if they try to talk her into keeping it, she should tell them to fuck off. It's a scam. Actually, when they let her take the car is when the scam started. They lied to her about what financing deal she could get. What they're hoping is that she's gotten attached to the car, and so when they try to get her to finance at worse terms than she would have accepted at the outset, she'll accept. The idea is to get people to buy more car at worse terms than they'd ordinarily be willing to go for. If she didn't put any money down, she should bring the car back and just leave. If she did put money down, she should bring the car back, demand her down payment back, and leave. They told her to bring the car back. She doesn't have to agree to anything else. She is under no obligation to take any deal they offer.Under no circumstances should these people get or keep a dime of your friend's money. And when she goes car shopping again, don't let your friend go ANYWHERE NEAR this kind of dealership. Almost all of them are utter scum. (Not all of them, but almost all of them). As far as you're concerned, the cars on their lots do not even EXIST.Also, tell her to secure financing with her bank (or better yet, credit union) BEFORE she goes car shopping.

If she did not qualify for the Mazda she should take it back right away. If she got a really bad deal on the contract she should take it back before something happens like they come and repossess it and or they sue her. She should get out of the deal but make sure to see if she will get all of her down payment back. If they insist that she leave a bunch of money on the table because she did not qualify, I would make them show her where she signed for that kind of a penalty in the contract. If it is in there then she has a real problem. They might ask for a reasonable payment for the miles she has driven and hopefully she didn't pile on a bunch of miles while she had the car. Have her clean the car to the exact condition that it was in when she got the car like give it a cleaning etc or they might factor in a detailing fee to make the car look ready for the lot again. Have her read the next contract carefully and maybe she should buy a car that is more affordable. She should make sure that this dealer and recall of the car won't damage her credit rating so they won't report it to any agency. This is very important!

RETURN IT, YOU SAID THAT SHE GOT SCREWED FROM A HOLE IN THE WALL PLACE.THIS IS ONE WAY TO STOP A HEADACHE FROM HAPPENING.AS FOR WHY THAT WHAT THE CAR BACK IS SIMPLE, THEY FOUND OUT SOMETHING THAT SHE DID NOT DISCLOSE TO THEM AND THEY DO NOT WANT THE RISK.

She should return the car immediately. Do you really think she has a right to keep it? Her credit is bad and they couldn't finance her. She doesn't get a free car out of the deal.
