First the question is: Is it an HF, DX, or an Si? No matter which model you have, your stock engine is a D-series engine. Your best bet is to swap engines first. I would recommend the one of the B-series engines: the B16A/B, B18A/B/C, or B20B/Z engines. These engines are common swaps because they are easy to swap and get big power. The reason I say this is because if you turbo your stock motor, you will only be able to go about 6 psi of boost safely. Also you have to consider the fact that if your engine's old, it will need to be rebuilt before you could even add a turbo kit to it or it won't last very long. Still with the cost of rebuilding your engine and adding a turbo kit, you are able to do a swap and get similar power for similar or less money. With a B-series engine, you're ready to get into some ridiculous hp territory if you feel the desire to get even more power. There's a cornucopia of aftermarket parts available for them. You can even swap parts from other B-series engines to get more power. As complex as it may sound right now, it's really not. This article can help: http://www.hondatuningmagazine.com/tech/0203ht_acura_honda_b_series_engine/It'll tell you everything you need to know and then some about B-series engines..Note: With the most engine swap, you'll need the ECU (computer), transmission, and clutch from the donor engine as well. These can be bought as a package as well.

The cost could be anywhere from $1,000 for a diy kit, or $4,000 for a premade kit. But if you have no experience with with turbo kits, you need to do a TON of research before you do it. A lot of people just slap on turbo kits and call it a day. This works for a little while, but then they end up blowing their engines. Forced induction is nothing like basic bolt-ons (intake, exhaust, header). It requires research, not only to ensure you have the right parts to have some reliability, but also the right parts to get the power & powerband you're looking for. There is way too much info for anyone here to tell you everything you'll need to know. But here are some sites that should help you, whether you decide to go with a premade kit or do your own.http://www.beesandgoats.com/boostfaq/g2icturbo.htmlhttp://www.turbod16.comhttp://www.homemadeturbo.comMake sure to check out the FAQ subforums of those sites for

you're better off going with a supercharger only because you don't want to blow your engine and have to replace it. you can either buy a jacksonracing supercharger for about $1000 (from ebay)($2500 new) or get a COMPLETE turbo kit from JG Eldebrock($1500-2000 from ebay)($2500 new) which comes with the fuel injectors. don't go with the greddy kit, it's very incomplete. installation is going to cost you a good $500-$800.
