HELP! HOW DO I BLEED THE BRAKES ON MY 1989 LINCOLN LSC MMARK 7? I HAVE TO USE TO MUCH FORCE TO STOP?
I dont think that bleading the breaks will help. It sounds like the break booster has failed. It is just behind the master cylender and has a hose going to a vacuum source. It also has a black check valve at the end and goes into the break booster. THis booster is what hepls you stop with out too much pressure. Start the car and let it run for a few minets. Next turn off the car and pull the hose off the booster, if it comes off with little or no effert the booster is bad and will need to be replasted, You can also replace the check valve going to it first. Somrtimes this valve leaks the vacuum and you have no power breaks. It can also be your break pads are warn down and needs to be replaced.
