America brought out the new retro looking ford mustang so why don't the aussies bring out a retro version of the ford falcon XB coupeJ after all it too was a classic shape of a car !....Just a thought ,that's all.

Good question and interesting. I have always liked the Falcon and the Mustang was based off of it. In the US I just don't think the Falcon is as memorable. Nothing really wrong with it, just not that iconic. Maybe it is different in Australia. I wouldn't be against it.

It wont happen.Ford is terrified of hurting the sales of the Mustang. When Mercury put out the last Cougar they first advertised it with over 250hp, great for a sport coupe of that day. However because it made it faster than the V6 Mustang, and comparable to the GT they were forced to switch to the standard Contour 170hp engine.As long as Ford refuses to make the Mustang stand on its own against all competition theyre going to sacrifice some sales. People are being forced to turn to other companies just so that Mustang sales can be raised due to a lack of options.
