We have got a very old Jeep Cherokee (Liberty in the U.S.) from 2003 and the engine is as rough as old boots. It is monstrously slow and the fuel economy is a joke (a 2.8L engine doing 24 or 25 to the U.S. gallon which is about 15 or 18 to the British gallon at best is ridiculous when the B.M.W. 4.3L is doing at least 30 to the gallon and the Mercedes Benz 3.7L is doing 35 or 38 to the gallon). It is also a racket that is hard to be heard over on accelleration. Please tell me that the brand new car we have ordered will sound and behave much sweeter.

HiLets face it the GM diesels are not quite the best in the world and they are not as noisy as the older ones but no where near as good as the BM and jap diesels now Even the merc diesel has loads of padding to make it quieter you pays your money and makes your choice
