Default Michigan Private Used Auto Sale Laws?

Anyone know what the law would be for my situation. I'm in Michigan, and I purchased a 2002 Kia Spectra from a woman who told me everything on the vehicle was great except the transmission. So, I purchased it with the expectation that the transmission needed replacing, but everthing else was fine. I got 10 minutes from the woman's house with the car, and it lost power, it overheated, and the radiator blew about 3 minutes after I got on the highway with it. I left it on the side of the road because it wouldn't start back up. She tells me it isn't her problem, it's mine. Do I have any legal recourse against her? I drove the car just 10 minutes!

Yes, but since it sounds like she is not cooperating I would recommend that you speak with a lawyer - at the least you should look into filing a cause of action - which you can do on your own, but it would be easier to have a lawyers help. She made a promise to you when she sold you the car - and clearly she was not being truthful - this is fraud and breach of contract - it is horrible that she won't cooperate, sorry to hear about your situation.
