It's an '06, it should play Mp3 CD's. Check and see.Otherwise, you're out of luck -unless you upgrade to an aftermarket CD player.Have Fun!

you have several options. You can use your ipod through an FM modulator, or for cd quality sound you can use this:http://item.express.ebay.com/Consumer-Electronics_Car-Electronics_Car-Electronics-Parts-Accessories_USA-SPEC-PA11-GM-IPod-Chevrolet-Impala-Monte-Carlo-SSR_W0QQitemZ160155552984QQihZ006QQptdnZCarQ20Elec tronicsQ20PartsQ20Q26Q20AccessoriesQQddnZConsumerQ 20ElectronicsQQadnZCarQ20ElectronicsQQptdiZ958QQdd iZ945QQadiZ967QQcmdZExpressItem

use this interface to feed audio in to your factory gmc sierra radio and use any portable mp3 http://www.oemautosound.com/pc-304-151-pie-gm12-auxv2-gmc-auxiliary-adaptor-2002-2006.aspx

i like the other answers, but you could just burn your mp3 collection as wave files onto a cd and play them in your regular cd player...on a cd, like what cd players that don't read mp3 files are supposed to do.
