most times you need a car dealers license to buy unless the auction is open to the public.most auction cars have cut up seats and such but can find pretty good deals sometimesunclaimed cars at tow lots are good ways too.

Yea, it depends on whether the auction is open to the public. You can probably call the police station and find out if they know anything. Sometimes you can get really nice stuff at these auctions. They're all goods that were confiscated, so a lot of times they're either trashed, or really nice... aka an upper level drug dealer's benz or something like that.-MunkiPhDAutotropolis.com

If you want to buy a car at an auction, you need to have cash on hand. Most auctions require that you have cash, no CC or checks. Many tow yards hold auctions for cars that don't get claimed, you can get really good deals.I do this as a side job for some extra income, I buy cars at auctions and sell them for a couple more hundred bucks.do you live in georgia? (I'm in cali so I've never heard of cobb county) If you do this website has some information http://www.auctionbroadcasting.com/locations/atlanta.htmor you can try googleing "auto auctions in ____(state)___" and see what results you can get.

I live in GA theres a public police auction in ga just not in cobb, or paulding though. Go to quick trip and buy those car magazines that have for sale cars(not the classic cars just regular cars) and in there they advertise for the police auctions. The car mags are about a dollar. I believe the police auctions are located in douglasville i could be wrong. Have you heard of Days car auction in cobb county? Good luck
