Default GSA Auctions..?

I'm currently looking at a GSA auction. Has anyone been to one? Are they any good? I'm simply looking for a cheap car that's not 18 years old, and this seems to be the best place to find one. I'm not looking for a car to repair, which is why I've given up on police auctions. Usually, the cars at police auctions are near-totaled, or so I've found. Are GSA auctions the same way? If they are, which auctions sell working cars for cheap?

I don't think you are going to find much cheap. Unless they have changed since a few years ago, the cars are well-worn day to day cars and seized contraband cars and which they are will depend on which auction in which part of the country. There used to be a pretty good description sheet in dull bureaucratic language of every item, but to get it ahead of time you had to go to the site or the preview. I suppose they might put it on the internet now, but that shows you I am out of date perhaps.

there are no bargains on the GSA auctions, you might try some of the credit unions in your area, they always have repos.

I would avoid any and all Government vehicle auctions. The good ones get sold thru eBay and through retail outlets. The junk left over goes to the auction. In fact, unless you or one of your best friends is a mechanic avoid all public auto auctions.Auctions are where the "rest of the cars" are sold.
