Daimler/Mercedes Benz and the Chrysler Corporation merged some time ago...so they must have been sharing technology...I know that the V-12 is too big but my theory is the V-8 should fit with some minor modifications...but nothing over $5,000...it would be cool if it fit right in ...with the wiring and hoses lining up perfectly...Also, how many horses would the Benz engine crank out versus the Hemi....which I think ...cranks out 475 hp....I think that I read that the 5.5 litre V.8 from the AMG Benz cranks out 505 hp...correct me if I'm wrong...because if this engine fits in the 300C...then it fits the Dodge Charger and Magnum..since all three share the same mechanical platform.

Way different engines, unfortunately for $5000 you could not get anywhere near and MB AMG engine, but with that kind of money you can hop up the hemi to over 500 hp.

The AMG 5.5 V8 Benz engine would require allot of engine bay and transmission modifications to fit. The 5.5 is not related to any of the current Chrysler engines. You are better off buying a SRT 6.1 Hemi-V8 wiht 425HP for a transplant or a Mopar Crate engine. This will still cost over $5000 to $15000 plus labor. You might look for a wrecked 300SRT for a engine. There is allot of aftermarket mods from Mopar to improve the 5.7 Hemi.AMG-built intercooled supercharged SOHC 5.4 L 24-valve V8 469 hp
