most warranties are for a minumum 3 years or 36k mile bumper to bumper excluding normal wear item like brakes, clutches, belts, and hoses. so yes i would think the warranty would cover it unless there are other reasons you have not mentioned that would cause it not to. also, as for the dealer making money off you......the answer is yes. that is why any business is in business so thet can make money
