I have a peugeot 206 cc.I have had some problems with it in the past. But this new problem it says "Coolant Temp too high"On the mini computer when I start the engine it has the Temp gage for the coolant is at the red zone and the oil Temp gets higher and lower all the time.It has a stop sign and that is lit up and keeps flashing. Also it's making a Noise the same Noise as when you have a door open or the boot open.

Your car is over heating. Dont drive it for to long cause you can make the problem worse. Check the water pump and the thermostat. First go for the thermostat cause it is cheeper to fix. If that doesnt solve it then it is the pump. That should work. Good luck.

Oh dear!! Your car is overheating, the water in the radiator is there to cool the engine down to the correct temperature so as not to do any damage.Things to check:-1) Check the water level in your radiator/header tank.2) Remove the oil filler cap on the engine and look inside to see if there is any white sludge on the cap. If so then there is a failure of the cylinder head gasket.3) Turn the heater controls in the cab up to max temperature. If when the car is showing high temperature but the air coming from the air vent is cold we can determine that there is an air lock in the engine coolant.4) If there is an air lock you need to look at the rubber hose that comes from the radiator to the engine, were the hose is attached to engine there will be a small metal cap screw. This screw is loosened to allow the air to escape.
